What can I expect if I attend Refresh?
Our greatest desire is to honor God and serve His ladies.
We are grateful for our speakers Donna Kauffman and Janelle Yoder. Both have allowed God to use their life’s circumstances to deepen their walk and dependence on Him, and we look forward to their sharing.
Our decor ladies are gifted in creating beauty; their heart is to make the environment restful and refreshing. We want a place that encourages and invites openness to the Holy Spirit’s work in our hearts.
Mildred Good delights in serving people through hospitality, and she is teaming up with her daughter Jewel and friend Carolyn Good. They are planning mouth-watering menus for us. We want to give you a break from the routine of cooking for your family and serve you well.
We are covering this event in prayer. We are asking the Father to prepare each heart that will be in attendance, to be in our midst at Refresh, and to do His beautiful work.

How can I get on the waiting list in case there are canceled tickets?
Yes! You can send us an email at email@example.com with your name. If we have open spots we’ll contact you and let you know.
Do you offer a group discount?
Yes! Groups of 10 or more will receive a 15% discount. The registration process is still the same except: purchase a minimum of 10 tickets and use the code “2020group” at checkout.
Will there be any vendors at this event?

Who is sponsoring this event?
As mentioned on our Who We are Page, Refresh is comprised of 9 ladies from Bethel Mennonite, Covenant Fellowship, and Ebenezer Mennonite, all conservative Anabaptist churches in south-central Virginia. We love the Lord and have a vision for providing opportunity for ladies to experience the blessing of coming away for refreshment. While we aren’t sponsored by one specific church, we hold to Anabaptist beliefs and values, and intend to conduct the event with regard and respect for the diversity of applications of scripture among us.
What if I register and something comes up at the last minute? I am not sure if I want to register because of your registration policy.
We understand your hesitation; we know things happen that are out of our control. We want to be as flexible as we are able to be. However, for planning purposes it is needful to know how many ladies will be in attendance. We will offer a partial refund till February 15th regardless of the reason for cancellation. ($10 withheld) Since we pay a fee for each online transaction we are not able to offer a full refund. If something comes up after February 15th (sickness etc.) we will do our best to give you the partial refund.
Lodging looks difficult to arrange. What are my options?
We realize that finding your own lodging adds additional expense. We encourage you to reach out to a friend in the area if you are able to. We as a committee are not able to arrange lodging for each attendee but we do want you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay! We listed several hotels in the brochure. You may also want to check out Airbnb. Airbnb offers some nice, affordable lodging options with the comforts of home. Be careful in your selection; ensure that the listing has multiple good reviews. Booking in advance will give the best options. Bring several friends with you and make it a ladies weekend getaway!
