Creative Designs by Fern
I am Fern Eshback. I have always had an eye for the beauty of creatively designed pieces of word art, and determined that someday I would make the kind of signs you see in home decor stores. My husband Dave wanted to see this dream become reality; this past year he gifted me with a machine to make it all possible! I truly love designing, and seeing each piece come together is very rewarding! Dave does all the wood cutting and constructs the frames. He also built our website and attends to the financial details. We love that we can do this hobby/business adventure TOGETHER! Our 3 year old son Jasper loves to go out to the shop with Daddy to help! Jasper brings a lot of sunshine to our home. We are very grateful to GOD for the gift of creativity; it is such a joy to bring God’s word and inspirational quotes into others’ homes.
If a Refresh attendee has interest in preordering a sign they can do so by FB messaging Fern or calling 413.207.7088.
White Hill Pottery
I am Allison Hershberger. I live in Stuarts Draft, VA with my husband, Darrell and five children, ages eight to one. I began my life as a potter about eight years ago when Darrell signed me up for a class that he had already started taking at a local community college. A year and a half later we set up our own studio at home! It’s been a very difficult skill to learn and admittedly, if it had not been for the investment and friends asking about it, I would have thrown the wheel out in defeat. Thankfully, now we are loving being lost in the ceramics world, most of the time that is. Darrell has been the one with vision pushing, pulling me along. His never ending inspiration keeps me going on the dreary days. We are a team –me on the wheel and him in his glaze kitchen exploring chemicals and studying what makes a glaze do what it does. Our favorite pastime is looking up various potteries and touring them.

Anderson’s Country Market
I am Evangeline Anderson, married to John for 35 years. We homeschooled 3 children, who are all now happily married. A recent personal discovery was realizing how much I enjoy creating mixed media & acrylic art.
We opened Anderson’s Country Market, in Madison Heights, VA, almost 11 years ago. I am presently there part time and also help take care of my 2 grandsons.
Anderson’s is a typical Mennonite-style bulk food store that offers quality meats & cheeses, homemade sandwiches, specialty baking supplies, spices, local honey, produce, baked goods, organic milk, gift items, a huge assortment of vegetable & flower plants in the springtime, and much more.
Some of the items I plan to have available at Refresh 2019 are Homemade Elderberry Syrup made with local honey, Rada Cutlery (made in the USA & a lifetime guarantee), Happy Home flavorings (made in Bedford), Local Raw Honey, Jams & Jellies, Knit Cotton Dishcloths & handmade Scrubbies, Handmade Soy Candles (no toxins), & Rice Packs (for all the aches & pains). A few pieces of my art will be available. There will also be a few snack items that you can purchase to take home as treats for your children & hubby.

Daughters of Promise
My name is Rachel (Rae) Schrock and I am the founder and Chief Editor of Daughters of Promise magazine. Daughters of Promise is a quarterly publication, rooted in Scripture and expressed in conservative Anabaptism. Each issue features 112-116 pages of original artwork, photography, and articles created to encourage women in their walks of faith. Our mission is to present Biblically sound and aesthetically appealing content that equips women to live an abundant life, develop their voices through creative outlets, and experience freedom as daughters of God and heirs through Christ.
I love the opportunities I have, through DOP, to meet ladies from around the world, as well as the outlet that the magazine gives me to flex my creativity in helping to plan content and doing all of the graphic design for each issue. To learn more about the ministry and the various programs and products that we offer, visit our website.

Melissa Hostetler
I am Melissa Hostetler. I became a Lemongrass Spa consultant 2 years ago after my sister in law introduced me to it. Before my daughter was born I never thought much about what products I was putting on my skin. It wasn’t until my sister-in-law introduced me to Lemongrass Spa that I started learning about ingredients in everyday skin care that aren’t healthy for us. I wanted to be able to buy products from a company that I trusted had our best health in mind and Lemongrass Spa has been that for us!
A few of my favorite products are:
- Healing Elements Balm – this is a must have around our house. We use it for diaper rash, burns, bug bites, any ouchies the kids get. I use it as a night cream for my face to help with breakouts and scars.
- Bug-A-Boo – with spring (and bugs) just around the corner we’ll be pulling this out to keep the ticks and mosquitoes away.
- Body spritz – I use this as a detangler for my daughter’s hair and also as perfume.
