The Refresh committee is comprised of 9 ladies from Bethel Mennonite, Covenant Fellowship, and Ebenezer Mennonite, all conservative Anabaptist churches in south-central Virginia.
Joanne Hershberger – Chair
I am a wife to Eric (6 years) and mother to Cedric (2). Bethel Mennonite is our home church. I enjoy meaningful connection, creating beauty and providing opportunities for ladies to experience refreshment.
Rachel Zehr – Assistant Chair
I am Glen’s wife of 24 years and mother to Sierra (18), Aleya (15), Jackson (13), Jayden (13), and Kaiden (10). My hobbies are putting together jigsaw puzzles with my oldest daughter, sitting around the supper table talking and laughing with my teenagers, and creating (meaningful) wall art. We are members at Covenant Fellowship.
Crystal Yoder – Decor
I am married to the love of my life, Jeff, (15 years); we are blessed with three children: Alex (8), Tony (6), and Abriella (1) and two littles waiting to meet us in heaven. I enjoy anything that has to do with beauty: painting, decorating cookies/cakes, styling a room, or taking a walk in a beautiful setting. Our home church is Bethel Mennonite.
Mildred Good – Food
I am Nathan’s wife, and mother to Jewel, Crystal, Joshua, Benjamin, Ginger and Suzanne. Each of our children have given us a wonderful mate whom we dearly love and thank God for. My relationship to Jesus is the joy and power of my life. Serving the people of God is fulfilling for us; Nathan serves as bishop in three congregations in the Southeastern Conference. Windmill Farm Bakeshop is our business in our hometown of South Boston, VA. I enjoy homemaking, gardening and all-out Southern hospitality. My door is always open and I would love to serve you a cup of my hand roasted coffee!
Jewel Yoder – Food
God has blessed my life richly with my calm husband, Norvan, and our six rewards: Carver, Raquelle, Autumn, Monti, Sienna and Cheyanne, ages four to seventeen. We are a part of Ebenezer Mennonite Church. Peanut butter cups, coffee with cream, fresh flowers, chap stick, clean spots and quiet nooks are a few of my favorite things. The outdoors and beautiful music inspire and soothe my soul. Jesus is my Anchor.
Anita Martin – Floater
I am Randy’s bride of 15 years and mother to Bentley (11), Bella (9), Lincoln (7), Talli (4), and Cooper (2). Spending time with my family, being outdoors and taking my daily bike ride are my happy places. We call Covenant Fellowship our home church.
Angela Hartzler – Finances
I am from West Virginia and had the privilege of living in Laos for 5.5 years. Liberty University initially brought me to Gladys, VA. I do secretarial work for Long Island Lumber; I am involved in our local girls’ club. I enjoy good talks with friends, seeing new places, and reading. I call Covenant Fellowship my home church.
